Who God Says You Are As A Woman (Part 2): You Are Made with Purpose
Who God Says You Are As a Woman (Part 2)
You Are Made with Purpose
Hi sweet friend,
Have you ever asked the question, “What am I really here for?”
Maybe you’ve looked around and thought everyone else seems to be living with so much clarity—doing meaningful things, making a difference, stepping into big dreams…
And meanwhile, you’re just trying to get through the day without forgetting your coffee in the microwave (again).
Here’s what I want to whisper to your heart today:
Purpose isn’t always loud.
Sometimes, it’s quiet. Steady. Sacred.
You were made on purpose for a purpose—and it’s not something you have to chase. It’s something you carry.
📖 “We are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.” — Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)
You Don’t Have to Find Purpose “Out There”
We live in a world that tells us our purpose must be flashy, measurable, or platform-worthy.
“Make it big.”
“Change the world.”
“Don’t waste your potential.”
And while those words may sound inspiring, they can quietly start to feel like pressure—especially when your day looks more like dishes, school drop-off, or managing another meeting than anything “extraordinary.”
But here’s the quiet truth we sometimes forget:
Purpose is not out there—it’s already within you.
It’s in the way you fold laundry while praying for your family.
It’s in how you listen deeply to a friend who’s hurting, even when your own heart feels tired.
It’s in the everyday faithfulness of showing up—when no one is clapping, when it’s not Instagram-worthy, and when you feel invisible.
That counts.
That matters.
That is purpose.
📖 “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” — 1 Corinthians 10:31
God doesn’t measure your life by headlines or hashtags.
He’s not impressed by your busyness.
He’s moved by your obedience—especially in the small, unseen places.
You Were Designed With Intentionality
Nothing about you is random.
Not your personality. Not your quietness or your fire.
Not your specific passions, quirks, or even the scars you carry.
God didn’t just form you—He fashioned you. Every detail. Every gifting. Every bit of your story.
📖 “All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” — Psalm 139:16
So if you’ve ever wondered:
-
Why do I care so deeply about people?
-
Why do I notice the little things others miss?
-
Why do I feel joy when I organize, serve, sing, paint, write, teach, mother, or mentor…?
It’s not a coincidence. It’s a calling.
God doesn’t waste anything—not your time, your tears, or your talents.
You don’t have to manufacture purpose. You simply walk in it, one faithful step at a time.
Practical Ways to Live with Purpose—Right Now
Here are a few simple ways to recognize and live out your God-given purpose right where you are:
1. Look for Where Your Love Naturally Flows
Purpose often flows from love. Ask yourself:
What do I love to do that serves others, even in small ways?
Maybe it’s writing encouragement notes, cooking meals, teaching kids, organizing spaces, praying for others, or noticing someone who’s overlooked.
Start there. That’s fertile ground for purpose.
2. Shift Your “Why”
Instead of asking, “Is this productive?”, try asking:
“Is this done in love? In faithfulness? In worship?”
Purpose isn’t always about impact you can measure—it’s about obedience that God treasures.
3. Give Your Ordinary Moments Eternal Meaning
Invite God into the mundane. Whisper prayers while driving. Worship while you work. Thank Him while you fold socks.
Nothing is wasted when it’s done with Him, for Him, and through Him.
📖 “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus…” — Colossians 3:17
You’re Not Disqualified
Maybe you’ve been through a season that left you bruised.
Maybe you’ve wandered, or felt stuck, or believed the lie that it’s too late for you.
But friend—purpose doesn’t expire.
God’s plans aren’t derailed by your detours.
📖 “For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable.” — Romans 11:29
Even the things you wish never happened? God can redeem them.
Even the years you feel you’ve lost? God can restore them.
Even the pain you’d rather hide? God can transform it into compassion for others.
What the enemy tries to shame you with, God can turn into your testimony.
So take heart. You haven’t missed your moment.
If you’re still breathing, there is still purpose in you.
Journal Prompt: Where Am I Already Living on Purpose?
Take a moment today and reflect on:-
What are the ordinary moments in my day that actually carry quiet purpose?
-
What makes my heart come alive in a way that feels like worship?
-
What gifts or experiences has God given me that I might be overlooking?
Then write a prayer like this:
Lord, sometimes I look at my life and wonder if I’m doing enough, being enough, or making a difference. But You say I’m Your masterpiece. You’ve created me with intention—and I don’t want to miss the beauty in the small things. Help me to walk in purpose today, not by striving but by trusting. Amen.
From My Heart to Yours
You don’t have to go viral to be valuable. You don’t have to do something huge to be used by God.
Just keep showing up with a faithful heart. That’s where real purpose lives.
Next time, we’ll wrap up this series by talking about the strength that God gives us as women—not the kind the world demands, but the kind that comes from being rooted, secure, and filled by His Spirit.
You’re not just welcome here—you’re wanted here.
As always, drop a comment if you want prayer. I’d be honored to pray with you. We’re in this together, and I’m so grateful you’re here.
All My Love,
Ashley Lynn Lord 💜
